The GSMA Innovation Fund for Green Transition for Mobile“ which is now open for applications! Please free to share with start-ups in your ecosystem. 

The objective of the fund is to support organisations using mobile and digital solutions with a focus on either:

  • Clean energy access: Digitally enabled energy solutions that improve the affordability, reliability and productive use of renewable energy – particularly models that strengthen energy access for underserved communities. These could include but are not limited to: supporting the productive use of energy solutions, smart metering and energy efficiency solutions, small scale mini-grid or mesh grid models and other renewable energy solutions.
  • Mobile device circularity: Innovative business models that extend the lifespan of mobile phones and improve handset affordability through repair and refurbishment. The fund will support responsible e-waste collection and recycling. 

We are providing support to small and growing enterprises/startups from Africa, Central and South America or South and Southeast Asia with grant funding of between £100,000 – £200,000 that leverage mobile and digital technologies (including AI) to have a positive impact on the lives of people in LMICs. Find out more information about the eligibility criteria and how to apply on the links below:
