Ezylife is a clean cooking company electrifying street food cooking in Uganda by providing induction cookers to vendors through a lease-to-own model. In Uganda, there are an estimated 500,000 street food vendors, many concentrated in cities like Kampala. These vendors rely heavily on charcoal – fuel that is expensive, inefficient, and harmful to health. Vendors can spend up to UGX 5,000–15,000 per day on fuel, significantly cutting into their profits. Ezylife replaces this with electric induction cooker, reducing daily cooking costs upto 50%, increasing speed, and eliminating smoke exposure. Vendors access cookers with small daily payments via mobile money (MTN / Airtel), removing upfront cost barriers and enabling immediate savings. Each cooker is embedded with digital MRV (dMRV) technology that tracks real-time energy use and cooking activity. This allows Ezylife to measure and verify emissions reductions with high accuracy.
