Team Madam Waste is led by a multidisciplinary team combining engineering expertise, circular economy innovation, and enterprise development experience across Africa. The company is founded by Dr Gamuchirai Mutezo, an engineer, researcher, and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in waste management, decentralised energy systems (biogas) circular economy systems, and business incubation. Her work bridges technical implementation with systems thinking, having contributed to large-scale programmes across South Africa and Rwanda with partners such as GIZ, UNIDO, and C40 Cities. The broader team includes operations staff, facilitators, and technical partners supporting waste processing, training delivery, and project implementation. Madam Waste also leverages a strong ecosystem of collaborators across academia, municipalities, and private sector partners to deliver integrated, scalable solutions.
